Anesidora Project

(Pandora)

A present day myth & the folly of man's obsession with disease.

It's a story about respect.

Respecting the unknown - something that always seems to be in deficit.

It's about a woman.

A woman that's also a container of great salvation or unfathomable devastation.

There are strange markings that manifest on her body.

She quotes a phrase that she's known for as long as she can remember:

I'll be your vessel. If you treat me virtuously, we can ride this wave unscathed.

Treat me deficiently, I will spill my contents into this sea. Soaked through, roots to tree.

I have no power over this course. This curse. It will spread on to the ends of the earth.

I hope I can trust you. While I lay bare. But your history worries me. It's so easy to tear.

However, fear, distrust and exploitation prevails. As it has so many times before.

Anesidora was tested & experimented on. An attempt to extract and control something that is uncontrollable.

Ravaging plagues are released every time they try to figure out what’s inside her.

A total of eight plagues escaped.

Could have been a government. Could have been private sector. At this point it doesn’t matter.

The last thing that she could pass on was hope. It burned through and enveloped the one person that showed compassion to her during her dark days:

The original disciple of Anesidora.

The Order of Anesidora are the keepers of hope. Trying to fan the flames so hope can spread across a world in desperate need of it.

Each plague is a reminder of what fear and hatred cause. The Order of Anesidora worship them as penance for the deeds of others.
